SEC Filers: XBRL and the U S GAAP

Coyote Reporting has in-depth expertise related to the U S GAAP taxonomy.
We can provide tools and services for creating taxonomy extensions and XBRL instance documents that conform to the the U S GAAP architecture.

How can Coyote Reporting help me during the Public Review period?

We can provide the following services tailored to your needs:

  • A personalized walk-through of the architecture of the U S GAAP taxonomy.

  • A clear understanding of how to properly extend the U S GAAP taxonomy.

  • Creation of an appropriate and valid U S GAAP Extension

  • Assistance creating an XBRL Filing based on your entity's extension.

Fundamentally, There are two ways to extend the taxonomy:

  • Adding XBRL Dimension Members—This is the most common, and most straight-forward, way to extend the taxonomy. Dimensional extension should cover 80% of the extension needs
  • Adding line items—Adding line items is conceptually simple, but it in practice it is complicated both by a need to know where the appropriate extension points are, and by the need to correctly incorporate XBRL Dimensions.
